Sugarbears April Poolside Chat from Renee

Sugarbears and families:

Thanks to all for attending the Parent Kick-off Meeting last night. It was great to reconnect with so many of you. It just makes me look forward to the season soooo much more! For those of you that weren’t able to attend, please check the website for highlights…we’ll be posting it soon…there is some new info to be shared and we want to make sure everyone is up to speed for the first week of practice. The most important piece to pass along is that the practice times have changed for our first two weeks! We are fortunate to be able to start our practice in our home pool at OHS!! Here’s the new schedule:

New Schedule for first Two Weeks Only
Oakmont Pool (not the RAC)

April 26th-May 7th ONLY

13-18: 4-5:15 pm
9-12: 5:15-6:15 pm
6U-8: 6:15-7 pm

Coaches: We now have a full coaching staff. We’ll be working with our coaches over the next few weeks to get all of their Bios updated and online so you’ll have another way to get to know the staff coaching and encouraging your Sugarbears every day in the water.

Volunteering!! We need volunteers to successfully run our meets and the extras. There’s always something to do for every individual, no matter your preferences. Please check on line for open positions on our Board and open volunteer positions for upcoming meets; they’re already starting to fill. To reiterate the information from last night’s meeting: the Volunteer Agreement form and Check are due the first week of practice, by April 30th.

Before I sign-off, I want to say thank you to all the Sugarbears for their well wishes and prayers for Evan and the entire Artica family. If you’ve been following the blogs by Terry and Michelle, you know that Evan is recovering well and already back in school. We’re so proud of you, Evan; what a trooper!!! I mean, what a Sugarbear!!!!! Can’t wait to see you back in the pool this summer!!!! We have a link on our website to follow Evan and the family’s journey, but I’m also listing it below.
